This term, Year 9 students have been participating in the Take Love 'Virtual Visit' program, connecting with residents of a local retirement home during Thursday lunchtimes.
Eighteen of our Year 9 students have been participating in the program with the Anglicare St. Luke’s Retirement Village in Dapto.
As the name suggests, Zoom connects our students with the residents. Each resident meets with three students, and the students and residents share their lives by talking to each other for 30 minutes each week.
The program will finish up on June 3 with a brunch between the residents and students at Calderwood Christian School.
The students are looking forward to meeting the residents face-to-face.
