On Friday, November 24, Junior School students, teachers and parent guests gathered to listen to the exemplary finalists of the inaugural Calderwood Junior School Public Speaking competition.
Students from Kindergarten through to Year 6 all shared their speeches, which all revolved around the theme of the campfire.
Judges Mrs O'Doherty, Mr Hutton and Secondary School English teacher Miss Semenchuk were all greatly impressed with the quality and content of the speeches, with the students, teachers and guests in attendance likewise enjoying the speeches.
We look forward to announcing the K-2 and 3-6 Public Speaking winners at the Junior School Celebration Assembly in Week 10.
