K-12 students assembled in the hall on the Friday before ANZAC Day to remember those who sacrificed their lives in war.
Mr Hutton introduced special guest, Mr Glenn Kolomeitz, who showed slides of his tours of duty in East Timor and Afghanistan. He now works as a lawyer helping returned soldiers and their families. Mr Kolomeitz spoke to students about war and faith. He shared some of his experiences and the words his chaplain gave him from the Bible: "Greater love has no man that this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." (John 15:13)
We know that Jesus did this very thing, laying down his life for us. As you commemorate ANZAC Day we pray that you will remember and ponder on this great act of sacrificial love for you.
We’re a growing school for a new and growing community.
We run regular tours and open days for parents and students to have a taste of life at Calderwood. We’d love to welcome you to one of them soon!Book a Tour
