Earlier this term, Year 7 students embarked on an unforgettable two-day school camp at the picturesque Mount Keira Scout Camp.
We started off with an exhilarating hike in the Southern Highlands that brought the students closer to nature and each other. The camp was a perfect blend of excitement and serenity as students set up their own tents, engaged in lively games, and shared a meaningful moment in the bush chapel.
Amidst the breathtaking sights and sounds of the camping ground, the group participated in a devotion emphasising the importance of stillness, paying attention to God, and fostering kindness.
The camaraderie among the students was truly heartwarming as they encouraged one another, strengthened friendships, and the faced the challenges of climbing at Hangdog, as well as setting up their own tents.
The Year 7 camp was more than just an outdoor adventure; it was a time to spend together in community. We look forward to more shared experiences that shape our students into resilient and compassionate individuals.
We’re a growing school for a new and growing community.
We run regular tours and open days for parents and students to have a taste of life at Calderwood. We’d love to welcome you to one of them soon!
