Year 11 Music's fantastic film scores
Year 11 Music students have been working hard on sharpening their creative skills through the process of film scoring.
Students were tasked with writing a piece of film music that appropriately reflects the mood or matches the onscreen action of a chosen scene. This is an opportunity for students to develop skills in arranging and notating for orchestral instruments to fully realise their musical ideas.
Students' final compositions have been put side by side with the film clip that they chose:

Here's what students had to say about the process:
"I am proud that I was able to replicate what I heard in my head. And I was able to incorporate all the instruments I wanted (especially the triangle)"
"The music builds and drops with my interpretations of the scene and aims to take the listener along with the journey and to help them relate to the characters"
