The Big Vegie Crunch
On Thursday 30th March, we joined in 'The Big Vegie Crunch'! The Big Vegie Crunch was an attempt by NSW primary school students to break the record for the highest number of children eating vegetables simultaneously – and to get kids excited about vegetables!
At Calderwood we were delighted to participate in this program once again. In K-2 we have been celebrating how God made our bodies and how we can care for them by making healthy choices.
Our Kitchen Garden Program parallels the promotion of healthy eating habits. We are excited that we can also use the garden produce and our kitchen facilities to learn more about growing and preparing healthy snacks.
