Outdoor education in the Upper Junior School

Students have learned about the 'fire triangle' and the integral role of each element: fuel, oxygen and heat. They have learned about the dangers associated with fire, and been reminded to talk to mum and dad if they want to light one at home or at a campsite. They have enjoyed watching Mr Hutton use different methods to light fires, and enthusiastically embraced the opportunity to set and light their own fire in small groups.
