Junior School gets a taste of world music with Musica Viva
Our Junior School Students in Years K-4 recently had the opportunity to experience a live performance by the renowned Mara band from Musica Viva.
Musica Viva is one of Australia's largest and most dependable providers of music education in the country. They are committed to offering teachers and students creative, curriculum-aligned learning experiences.
The "Music in Our Suitcase" performance gave our students access to interactive and culturally diverse musical experience. It allowed them to appreciate the richness of world music and language.
In our Junior School, we are proud to offer a diverse musical experience in our Junior School, including our weekly Classroom Music Program, Year 4 Band and Concert Band Programs, and Junior School Choir.
These activities provide students with valuable opportunities to develop lifelong musical skills that benefit them and their community. Moreover, we know that recent research into the impact of music on the growing brain indicates that music, quite simply, is good for your brain.
