Calderwood P&F Outdoor Movie Night
The Parents & Friends recently held our first CCS Outdoor Movie Night event open to the Calderwood Community. We were thrilled to see so many families come out and enjoy a beautiful night under the stars.
Our movie of choice was Sing 2, a fun and entertaining film that had both kids and adults dancing and singing along. The weather was perfect - no rain but cold enough to rug up under a blanket. We had a great turnout, with close to 300 people in attendance.
The event was made possible by the generous support of the Lendlease Seedling Fund, who provided funding for the screen and projector. Their support enabled us to create a high-quality outdoor cinema experience that we hope will become a regular event for our community.
In addition to the movie, we provided free popcorn and had a range of drinks, ice creams and glow sticks for sale. Any funds raised will go back into the P&F fundraising account to support our students and school.
Overall, it was a wonderful evening of fun and community spirit. We would like to extend a huge thank you to those parents that came early to set up, sold the food and drink and stayed back to help pack up, as well as all the families that came out to enjoy the event.
We look forward to hosting more events like this in the future, and hope to see you all there!
